Rep. Susan Brooks (IN-05)

Susan Brooks has devoted her career—as an attorney, local official, federal prosecutor, economic & workforce development leader, and community volunteer. Since January 2013, she's been representing Indiana's 5th Congressional District—making a difference in our state and nation.

Her extensive experience in the public and private sectors advocating for all Hoosiers, along with her background and skills, will serve Hoosiers well during the 116th Congress. Susan Brooks has been a member of the Energy and Commerce Committee since 2015, which has the broadest jurisdiction of any congressional authorizing committee, and is active on the Health, Communications and Technology, and Oversight and Investigations subcommittees. In the 115th Congress, she served as the Chairwoman of the House Ethics Committee, making her the first woman in Indiana’s history to lead a congressional committee. During the 114th Congress, Susan served on the Select Committee on the Events Surrounding the 2012 Terrorist Attack in Benghazi, and she previously served on the Homeland Security and Education and Workforce Committees.
