WASHINGTON – The Republican Main Street Partnership (RMSP) today announced the addition of Senator Kelly Ayotte (R-NH) to its membership.

First elected to the Senate in 2010, Senator Ayotte has distinguished herself as an independent and pragmatic leader.  Ranked as one of the most bipartisan Senators, Ayotte has been widely recognized for her commitment to finding common ground to solve problems and deliver results.  Ayotte currently serves on the Armed Services, Budget, Commerce, Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs, and Small Business and Entrepreneurship Committees.

“Senator Kelly Ayotte is a welcome addition to the distinguished membership of the Republican Main Street Partnership and the Main Street family, the largest and longest standing organization of Members of Congress outside Capitol Hill,” said Sarah Chamberlain, President and CEO of RMSP. “Ayotte will help us in our efforts to expand our membership in the U.S. Senate in the upcoming 115th Congress and continue the Main Street tradition of finding common ground and common sense policy solutions for the American people,” Chamberlain added.

With the addition of Senator Ayotte, the Republican Main Street Partnership now represents 74 Members of Congress, including five U.S. Senators, who believe in the importance of conservative principles in economic and national security policy and believe in governing in a thoughtful and pragmatic manner.

The two-decade old Republican Main Street Partnership represents the governing wing of the Republican Party. Main Street’s membership is comprised of fiscally conservative elected officials along with individuals and entities that support its mission.  Main Street members authored nearly two hundred pieces of legislation passed in the current Congress.
